In the village of Krasnoe stands an interesting architectural monument, the Resurrection Church, built in 1707 at the request of G.A. Plemyannikov. This is a rare and possibly unique example of a tiered estate church from the early 18th century in the Yaroslavl region. The composition of "octagon on square" emerged in the 1680s and was characteristic of the estates of major dignitaries in the Moscow region, such as the Naryshkins, Golitsyns, and Prozorovskys. Initially, the lower tier was a square that served as the base for several octagons, but soon its shape became more complex, taking on rounded outlines elongated along the east-west axis. The church is surrounded by open galleries with white stone staircases. In terms of composition and decor, the church in Krasnoe resembles monuments of the early "Naryshkin" style. The lower tier is an elongated decagon, close to an oval, with a low polygonal apse attached to its western side. The lower tier serves as the base for three diminishing octagons topped with a dome. To the west, a large refectory built on six pillars, constructed in the first half of the 19th century, adjoins the summer church. A porch was added at the entrance to the refectory in 1916. Nearby, a slender tent-like bell tower from the mid-18th century rises.

The overall appearance of the monument is characterized by ambiguity and transitional features. It combines elements of "Moscow Baroque," such as octagonal windows and half-columns with bases and capitals, with a more restrained Yaroslavl style of the late 17th and early 18th centuries. The wide planes of the lower octagon are almost devoid of decor, and the number of windows is fewer than it could have been with strict adherence to the principles of "Moscow Baroque." An important principle of tiered structures, the lightening of tiers upwards, is violated by the disproportion between the lower and middle octagons. The interior of the church retains a baroque iconostasis from the 18th century, interesting icons from the 17th-18th centuries, and wall paintings from the last century. The Resurrection Church in Krasnoe is a beautiful illustration of the development of a new style in Russian architecture at the end of the 17th and beginning of the 18th centuries.
