In 1662, a wooden church was built in the village in honor of John Chrysostom at the site of the current shrine. However, as historical sources state, it was burned by "evil people." In 1725, the parishioners decided to build a new church, but this time a stone one, dedicating it to the Resurrection of Christ. The construction lasted fifty years due to the efforts of the parishioners and voluntary donations. There is a legend that 300 eggs were collected from each household for the mortar. The church was completed in 1775. Nearby, a stone bell tower with an iron roof painted green was erected. The temple itself, without columns, with a two-column refectory, is made of red brick and whitewashed. The building is adorned with a complex decorative cornice made of plain brick, which is also repeated on the bell tower. The church had three altars: the main one, dedicated to the Resurrection of Christ, and the chapels of John Chrysostom and Nicholas the Wonderworker. A stone fence with an iron grille was built around the church, part of which has survived to this day.

According to the staff, there were two priests, a deacon, two psalmists, and a prosphora baker at the church. The Resurrection Church did not have any attached churches but had four chapels, a cemetery, and prayer houses. Since 1917, the church elder was Alexander Mikhailovich Pastukhov. Among the priests were Vsevolod Kolokolnikov and Ioann Budrin, deacons Nikolai Chernavin and Pavel Lutkov, and psalmist Mikhail Konyukhov.

In 1918, the church lands were transferred to the peasants, and the homes of the clergy were occupied by Soviet institutions. Despite the difficulties, services and sacraments continued. The last rector before the closure was Ioann Alexandrovich Budrin. After the arrest of the clergy, the church "died" and fell into disrepair from 1937. In 1939, it was closed, the building was repurposed as a school, and from 1945, the church became "inactive." Only in 2006 did restoration work begin. Initially, a small prayer house was arranged, the small summer chapel was restored, and the roof and domes were repaired. Active restoration work began in 2008. The complete revival of the temple is still ahead.
