The Resurrection Church of Ilyinsk on the Shacha River was built of stone in 1760 thanks to the efforts of Vasily Alexandrovich Kozhukhov. Next to it is the Kazan Church, also made of stone, erected in 1772 through the efforts of court councilor Alexei Ivanovich Skripitsin. Both churches are surrounded by a stone fence with an iron grille. The cemetery is located a verst from the churches and is enclosed by a deep moat. The Resurrection Church has two altars: the main one is dedicated to the Resurrection of Christ, and the side altar is dedicated to the holy prophet Elijah. The Kazan Church has three altars: the main one in honor of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God, the right side altar dedicated to Saint Nicholas, and the left side altar to the martyrs Flora and Lavra. In August 1721, a decree was issued for the construction of new churches on the site of the old ones at the request of Ivan Nelidov.
