Zabelino is located on the banks of the Murmoga River. In the 19th century, the village was owned by the landowners Soymonov, Mitkov, and Kosagov.

The stone church of the Resurrection of Christ, which has survived to this day, was built in 1807 with funds from landowner Mikhail Vasilyevich Mitkov, replacing an old wooden church. The church has two altars: one in the cold room in honor of the Resurrection of Christ, and the other in the warm chapel of St. Nicholas the Bishop and Miracle Worker.

The church land included 2 desyatinas of homestead land, 5 desyatinas of haymaking land, and 20 desyatinas of arable land, of which 5 desyatinas were considered unsuitable for cultivation.

From 1852 to 1854, the priest of the church in the village of Zabelino was Ioann Ivanovich Sokolov. He graduated from the Vladimir Spiritual Seminary in 1846, married Anna Vasilievna Pospekova, the daughter of a priest, and was appointed priest at the church in the village of Ovchukhi in Vladimir district. However, due to a misdemeanor, he was defrocked and in 1854 transferred to the position of deacon at the church in the village of Ustye in Vladimir district.

By the end of the 19th century, the church clergy consisted of a priest and a psalmist. Their maintenance was provided by interest from church capital amounting to 115 rubles, subsidies from the treasury of 392 rubles, a grain collection of 25 rubles, income from land of 50 rubles, and fees for services up to 113 rubles, totaling about 700 rubles per year.

The clergy had their own houses on church land.

The parish included the village of Zabelino, the hamlet of Zabelino, and the villages of Bogorodskaya and Timoshkina. In total, there were 91 households in the parish, with 212 men and 233 women living there.

During the Soviet era, the church was closed and destroyed.
