Until the mid-19th century, there were three wooden churches in the small village of Belishevo. Today, on the site of one of them stands the building of the rural administration, while the remnants of the other two can be found in the estate park. Only the stone structures of the Meschersky-Berdnikov estate complex have survived to this day. The oldest of them, the Resurrection Church, was built by the Mescherskys in 1853. In Belishevo, this church is referred to as the Nikolayevskaya in honor of the first church consecrated here in 1628.
