The Church of the Vlacherna Icon of the Mother of God, built in 1759-1762, 1774, and 1784, was restored with the reconstruction of the bell tower in 1994-1995 according to the project of architect E. A. Vorontsova. In October 1995, the temple was re-consecrated by Patriarch of Moscow and All Russia Alexy II.
The Church of the Vlacherna Icon of the Mother of God in Kuzminki is famous for its elegant interior and rich sacristy, rivaling many Moscow churches. The interior walls are adorned with expensive Spanish Carrare marble, and the bell tower is equipped with chimes.
Particular attention to the church in Kuzminki is drawn by the Vlacherna Icon of the Mother of God, which is a family relic of the Stroganovs and later the Golitsyn princes. This icon was in the temple from 1725 to 1929.
