The Church of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God is located in Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast. During the Soviet era, the church was destroyed, but the old wooden building continued to be used for services until 1930. Later, local residents dismantled this building for firewood.

The land where the church stood was purchased by an entrepreneur for the construction of a cottage, but local residents opposed it. As a result of their efforts, the construction did not take place, and all materials purchased for the cottage were donated to the church. The villagers, having collected donations from the city and the village, decided to build a new temple.

Despite numerous difficulties, the new temple was opened in 1992. It is built of white bricks with red facing. An iconostasis was installed in the church, and in 1999, Metropolitan Nikolai served the Liturgy here. Today, the church is actively functioning and receives parishioners daily.
