Utka, a village in the Gagin district. According to the order of the Department for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage of Nizhny Novgorod and the Nizhny Novgorod Region dated April 24, 2000, No. 5-OD, the village church was recognized as an object of historical and cultural heritage. This object dates back to the 19th century. However, according to the data from the State Administration for the Protection of Cultural Heritage Objects of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, order 5-OD was revoked on October 20, 2014, by order No. 159.

According to the newspaper "Nizhny Novgorod Diocesan Gazette" from 1893, the construction of the village church began in 1824 at the initiative of landowner E.V. Priklonskaya. By 1848, the main cubic volume of the church was erected with the main chapel of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God, as well as the southern chapel of Archangel Michael and the northern chapel of Nicholas the Wonderworker, which were not consecrated. From 1865 to 1867, thanks to the efforts of the new rector Pavel Serebrovsky, a refectory with the chapel of Saint Alexander Nevsky and a bell tower were built. The southern chapel of Archangel Michael was consecrated in 1864, and the northern chapel of Nicholas the Wonderworker in 1866.
