According to the order of the Department for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage of Nizhny Novgorod and the Nizhny Novgorod Region dated April 24, 2000, No. 5-OD, the rural Vladimir Church was recognized as an object of historical and cultural heritage. The church was founded in 1901 and dates back to the early 20th century. However, according to the information from the State Cultural Heritage Protection Office of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, this order lost its validity on October 20, 2014, due to the issuance of order No. 159. According to data provided by Natalia Listvina, the church in Surulovo has now been almost completely restored.
