The village of Pustynka, formerly known as Mikhailova Pustyn, is now a dacha area located near the Klyazma River and famous for its abundance of mushrooms and berries. The road to the village winds through the forest and was once manually paved with limestone cobblestones. It stretches three kilometers to Pustyn and another three kilometers to the river. In the center of the village stands the Church of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God, built in the traditional architectural style known as 'ship'. The main volume of the temple, with its five domes, has elements of patriarchality due to the profiled pilasters and decorated facades with rows of semicircles of pseudo-kokoshniks. The apse of the church is pentagonal, and the bell tower is designed in a strict and concise classical style. The church is gradually falling into disrepair. In 2003, due to its remoteness from Kovrov, known for the production of motorcycles 'Voshod', it became popular among bikers. Currently, the atmosphere is calm, but traces of vandalism remain: the apse window is broken down to the level of the opening, allowing motorcycles to enter the altar area. Windows, doors, and floors have long been absent, and only a few masts without bulbs remain from the five domes. In winter, the road to Pustynka is inaccessible.
