According to the "State Lists of Historical and Cultural Monuments of the Nizhny Novgorod Region", the village is home to a monument of urban planning and architecture, the Vladimir Church, dated 1889-1905, with a document on state protection under number 286. According to local historian Irina Naumova, there were previously two churches in Nikolsk: a wooden one built in 1772 in honor of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker, which has not survived to this day, and a stone one. In 1937, the church was closed, and in 1946-1947, its building was destroyed. Restoration work began in 2005.
