The construction of the church began in 2000. Work was repeatedly interrupted due to a lack of funds, but the church was eventually completed.

According to information from the diocese's website, the uniqueness of this church lies in the fact that it is entirely made of wood. The painting of the iconostasis was done by craftsmen under the guidance of icon painter Alexei Antsiferov. Now, on the picturesque shore of the Holy Lake, stands a wooden church dedicated to the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God.
