The village of Bugayevskoye is located 160 versts from Yekaterinburg on the elevated right bank of the Techa River, in an area with black soil. It was named after the surname of the first settler, Karp Buguev. In the early 1730s, a peasant from the village of Nizhnyary, belonging to the Dalmatov Monastery, Karp Mikhailov Buguev settled on the right bank of the Techa River. By 1727, three more households had joined him. In 1796, during the third Bashkir uprising, the village of Bugayev suffered from Bashkir raids. The nomads plundered the residents' property: some bread was burned, some scattered, and some taken away; horses and cattle were driven off to their pastures.

Initially, the village of Bugayev was part of the parish of the Nikolayev Church in Sluzhnaya Sloboda, now the village of Dalmatovskoye. With the construction of a church in 1734 in the village of Verkhtyechenskoye, the village was assigned to the Verkhtyechensky parish and remained part of it until the 1850s.

In 1849, with the blessing of Archbishop Arkady of Perm, thanks to the efforts of parishioners and the help of benefactors, a stone church was laid in the village of Bugayev in honor of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God, with an altar dedicated to the holy apostle and evangelist John the Theologian. The altar was consecrated in 1851, and the main church in 1867.

Currently, the Bugayev Church has retained its original appearance. A stone fence with marble pillars and an iron grille has been erected around it. There is a common house for the residence of clergy at the church. There are no chapels in the Bugayev parish, but an annual procession is held in the fields on June 12, the day of the church's laying.

The Bugayev parish consists of one village, which has a population of 2,680 people of both sexes. The main occupation of the residents is agriculture. There is a zemstvo school operating in the village.

Currently, the church is heavily damaged, and the wall paintings have not survived.
