The Vladimir Church in Shadrinsk was built in 1891 from stone thanks to the efforts of local residents. It was a single-altar church dedicated to Saint Equal-to-the-Apostles Grand Prince Vladimir, as well as in memory of the 900th anniversary of the baptism of Rus, which took place on November 11, 1893. The church was located in the northeastern part of the city on Sennaya Square, at the end of Nikolayevskaya Street, now the intersection of Stepan Razin and Lenin Streets. Initially, it was a stone chapel, but later, at the request of the parishioners, it became the Prince-Vladimir Church. A dome in the Byzantine style rose above its main part, and the bell tower was built in three tiers in the same style. In 1906, the church received a two-story semi-stone house from the merchant M.Ya. Parilova for the clergy.

The church was affiliated with the Spaso-Preobrazhensky Cathedral and was part of the Yekaterinburg Diocese. It did not have an affiliated church, church-parish school, guardianship, or library. In 1907, the church elder was Pavel Fyodorovich Averkiyev, the priest was Mikhail Xenophon Toporkov, and the psalmist was Leontiy Valentinovich Konev. From 1913, the elder became Vasily Gavrilovich Xenophon.

On October 3, 1932, the presidium of the Shadrinsk City Council decided to close churches, including the Vladimir Church. The church building was repurposed as a dormitory for students of the vocational school. The church was dismantled in 1946-1947 and then restored in 2018-2019.
