Bishop Ferapont of Kostroma and Galich blessed the creation of a house church on the site where the destroyed complex of the Kostroma Kremlin once stood. At the request of the rector of the Assumption Cathedral of the Kostroma Kremlin, Archimandrite Dmitry Netesin, Bishop Ferapont, who oversees the Kostroma diocese, approved the establishment of this church. The premises were renovated in 2014, and the church was consecrated in February 2015. The Church of Vladimir the Equal-to-the-Apostles was placed on the first floor of the House of the Cathedral Clergy, which was part of the complex of buildings of the destroyed Kostroma Kremlin.
