On July 15, 2018, Bishop Hermogen of Michurinsk and Morshansk conducted the consecration of the cornerstone for a church dedicated to the Holy Martyr Vladimir Bogoyavlensky, Metropolitan of Kyiv and Halych. The church will be built on Vladimir Bogoyavlensky Square in Morshansk. The ceremonial opening of this square and the consecration of the site for the future church took place in February this year as part of events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the martyrdom of Holy Martyr Vladimir Bogoyavlensky. During the service, the bishop was assisted by Priest Edesiy Chernyshov and Deacon Ilya Salkov. Among those present were the head of the city of Morshansk, Alexey Viktorovich Bannikov, and residents of the 'Khimmash' microdistrict, who will become parishioners of the new church.
