Church of the Entrance of the Lord in Jerusalem in Soligalich

This monument of cult architecture from the early classicism stands out for its elegant proportions and original facade decor. The stone church with the chapels of the Three Holy Hierarchs of Moscow and Paraskeva Friday was built on the site of a wooden church from the 17th century that was nearby. Merchant Grigory Ivanovich Dunaev began construction of the new church in 1801 next to his house on Khvostovaya Street. The church was consecrated in 1804, although some sources state it was a year later. In 1808, it suffered from a major city fire but was soon restored. The church grounds also housed two large wooden houses for the clergy and a charitable institution, built in the 19th century with funds from the church elder M.I. Kharsin. Currently, the finishes of the church's square and bell tower have been lost, a doorway has appeared in the southern wall of the apse, and the internal space of the square is divided into two floors. The brick walls of the church are covered with lime plaster, and the facade paint in two colors has partially survived: light ochre with whitewashed details.

The two-light square of the church with rounded and rusticated corners is topped with a four-pitched roof, on which the bases of the drums of five small domes have been preserved. The altar, which is narrower and rectangular in plan, is significantly lower and matches the height of the refectory with side chapels, the apses of which partially cover the side facades of the church. The corners of these volumes are also rounded. To the west, the composition is completed by a square, two-tiered bell tower with a semi-tier, the roof of which is topped with a drum, while the spire with the cross has been lost.

The low base surrounding the building is decorated with a ribbon of a curb. The edges of the facades before the rounded corners are highlighted by smooth pilasters, rusticated in a three-part multi-profile cornice with small dry bricks. Rectangular windows are framed by narrow framed casings with profiled window sills, combined in the lower tier with square window shields. The sandriks above the windows are made in the form of a profiled shelf on miniature brackets, the second light of the square, shelves combined with rectangular window shields, the refectory and altar, or triangular pediments, the lower light of the square. Between the lower and upper openings of the square are round niches with six-petaled rosettes made of fired clay in a P-shaped frame.

The tiers of the bell tower are separated by profiled cornices with dry bricks, similar to the cornices of the church. The intermediate semi-tier is divided vertically into two parts by a thinner cornice. The rusticated corners of the main tiers are fixed with paired pilasters flanking the arched openings. The walls of the semi-tier are decorated with panels: in the lower part, rectangular with a diamond-shaped shield, in the upper part, semi-circular, flanked by rosettes in circles.

The square of the church is now divided into two floors by wooden ceilings. The altar has a barrel vault, while the refectory is covered with three barrel vaults, the central part being transverse with arches above the entrances, and the chapels being longitudinal.
