The Church of Varvara of Vetluga in Varnavino was built in 1999-2000. It is a wooden log structure that became the first temple consecrated in the post-Soviet period in honor of Varvara of Vetluga. In 2000, this wooden church dedicated to St. Varvara of Vetluga was constructed near the site where the Trinity Cathedral once stood.
