The Church of the Assurance of Thomas in the Resurrection of Christ, located on the Sofia side of Veliky Novgorod beyond the old city, once belonged to the Resurrection Women's Monastery in Myachino and is now in a semi-ruined state. The single-domed church is built in the style of early Novgorod architecture of the 12th-13th centuries. The western facade, where the entrance is located, is adorned with decorative windows and crosses embedded in the walls. Fragments of frescoes have survived to this day.

The church was part of the Resurrection Women's Monastery at Lyudino End of Novgorod. The first building was laid in 1195 and completed within a year. In 1386, it was damaged by fire but was restored, and by the mid-15th century, it had deteriorated and collapsed. In its place, a new church was built in 1463, which has survived to the present day.

During the Time of Troubles, the church suffered greatly from the Swedish invasion. The Resurrection Monastery remained empty for 15 years and was restored only in 1626, after which the church was consecrated again. In 1752, the monastery was abolished, and the church became a parish.

During the Great Patriotic War, the building was damaged as the German army used it as a firing point. In 1959, during a storm, the cladding fell off, and a year later, the dome and roof collapsed, leaving a metal frame towering over the church. In 1961 and 1963, conservation work was carried out to halt its destruction. Currently, the church is closed and can only be viewed from the outside.
