The Assumption Church has four altars dedicated to the Assumption of the Mother of God, the holy princes Boris and Gleb, the venerable Onuphrius, and Saint Arsenius the Great. The church houses relics of the holy Kyiv-Pechersk saints: Agapit, Damian, Moses the Hungarian, Hypatius, Ignatius, and Princess Euphrosinia of Polotsk.
Two stone chapels have been built by the church: one is located in the churchyard, and the other on the site of the former temple dedicated to Venerable Onuphrius.
The church is situated 71 versts from Kostroma and 20 versts from the town of Sudislavl. The nearest churches in the Galich district, the Trinity in the village of Mikhalevo and the Trinity in the village of Zamer'ye, are 4 versts away, while the Archangel church in Uglec is 8 versts away.
