In the village of Uspenskoe in the Voskresensky district, there is the estate of A.G. Kazantsev, recognized as a cultural heritage site of regional significance. The complex includes the main house, service building, utility structure, the Assumption Church built in 1856, and a park.

In 1849, there were two churches in Uspenskoe. The wooden church had by then become very dilapidated, while the stone one was likely still under construction. It is believed that it was completed in 1856. In 1857, the district dean noted that the fences of the churches were strong everywhere, except in Uspenskoe, where the wooden fence had deteriorated due to the construction of the stone church. In 1857, permission was granted to dismantle the old wooden church and use its suitable timber to build a new fence, but the work had not yet been completed.

Currently, the church building is in an emergency state: the dome and vaults over the main volume and altar section are destroyed, the northern portal is damaged, and the roof of the refectory is missing. By the order of the Department for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage of Nizhny Novgorod and the Nizhny Novgorod Region dated April 24, 2000, the Assumption Church was granted the status of a recognized architectural monument of regional significance. Architect V.V. Koval has begun developing a restoration project to prevent further destruction of the temple and to bring it back to life.
