Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Uspenye (Lost)

According to the documents of the Blagoveshchensky Monastery, in 1639, the Assumption Pafnutiev Gorshkov Desert was founded on the Linde River, and in 1649, a church was built there. Later, the village became known as Gorshki Gorsheneva Desert, and from the early 20th century, Uspenye.

The church was dedicated to the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Its clergy included Priest Moisei Ilyin and Deacon Ivan Ilyin. The church owned 6 desyatins of arable land and hayfields for 3 stacks. The parish had 113 households.

In the Balakhna district on the Linde River was the Assumption Pafnutiev or Gorshkov Desert, founded in 1639. The church was built there in 1649, and the desert was affiliated with the Nizhny Novgorod Blagoveshchensky Monastery. Subsequently, the Assumption Church of the desert became the parish church of the village of Gorshkovy, now Semyonov.
