Tanaykovo is a village in the Perevozsky district. According to the order of the Department for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage of Nizhny Novgorod and the Nizhny Novgorod Region dated April 24, 2000, No. 5-OD, the Assumption Church in this village was recognized as a historical and cultural heritage site. The church has the main cold altar of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, as well as chapels: the right one dedicated to Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker, and the left one in honor of Saint Alexander Nevsky. The church dates back to 1833.
