The church, built of stone along with a bell tower, was erected in 1790 with funds from merchants Andrei Nikolaevich Moskvin from St. Petersburg and Petr Fedorovich Kokorev from Sudislavl. The temple has altars dedicated to the Assumption of the Mother of God, the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God, and all saints. The church is located by the city cemetery and is surrounded by a stone fence. It has no permanent clergy or parishioners. Services are conducted from time to time by the clergy of the Transfiguration Church, under whose administration it is located. The church is situated 51 versts from Kostroma.
