Sarga, a village in the Krasnooktyabrsky district. According to the order of the Department for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage of Nizhny Novgorod and the Nizhny Novgorod Region dated April 24, 2000, No. 5-OD, the village's Assumption Church was recognized as an object of historical and cultural heritage. The church had altars: the main one, cold, of the Assumption of the Mother of God, as well as warm chapels, the right one dedicated to St. Varlaam of Khutyn and the left one to St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. The church dates back to 1766. However, order 5-OD lost its validity on October 20, 2014, according to order No. 159, as reported by the Department of State Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. It is likely that only the refectory with the warm chapels has survived from the church.
