The church in the village of Rytovo is under the jurisdiction of the Vladimir deanery, led by Archpriest Ioann Dumnov, and belongs to the Nizhny Novgorod-Vladimir diocese of the Russian Orthodox Old Believer Church, of the Belokrinitsky agreement.

The parish was founded and the church was built in the late 19th century by the prominent figure of Old Belief, Bishop of Ural Arseny Shvetsov. From 1966 to 2005, the rector was the well-known figure in the Old Believer community, Hieromonk Livery, Archpriest Leonid Gusev.
