The Assumption Church in the village of Ponurovo is a wooden building with a bell tower, built in 1886 with funds from parishioners and voluntary donors. The church is surrounded by a wooden palisade on three sides, while on the fourth side it adjoins the parish cemetery, enclosed by a wooden fence. The church has two altars: in honor of the Assumption of the Mother of God and Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker.
