The stone Assumption Church was built as a monastery church after a fire that destroyed the wooden temples and all the buildings of the monastery in the mid-18th century at the Assumption Pesochnoe Monastery. Construction began around 1760, and after the monastery was closed, it was converted into a parish church, completed, and consecrated in 1767. This single-story building features a two-light square, semi-domes, and a five-domed completion, combined with a refectory and bell tower. The church has three altars: the main altar of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, as well as side altars dedicated to St. Nicholas the Wonderworker and the Placement of the Holy Robe of the Mother of God at Blachernae. In the side altar of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, there was a locally venerated icon of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, which, according to tradition, is an exact copy of the revealed icon. In the early 1930s, the church was closed, used as a workshop, and the dome and bell tower were lost.
