The Assumption Church in the village of Novlenskoe was built in 1803. It has three altars: the Assumption of the Mother of God, Simeon the God-Receiver, and Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker.

The church owns 37 desyatins of land. The parishioners live in ten villages: Novlenskoe, Ivanishchevo, Trasheyevo, Govenkovo, Yesemovo, Epifanovo, Kryukovo, Nagavki, Dorozhino, and Ponomarevo. There are a total of 110 houses, where 404 men and 478 women reside.
