In the village of Medyncevo, located in the Arzamas district, there is the Assumption Church, which was recognized as a historical and cultural heritage site according to the order of the Department for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage of Nizhny Novgorod and the Nizhny Novgorod Region dated April 24, 2000. The church dates back to 1786, while the refectory was built in 1866. However, order No. 5-OD lost its validity on October 20, 2014, in accordance with order No. 159. According to the 'Address Calendar of the Nizhny Novgorod Diocese' for 1904, the church has altars: the main altar, dedicated to the Assumption of the Mother of God, as well as two chapels, the right one in honor of All Saints and the left one dedicated to Saints Cosmas and Damian.
