The Church of the Assumption of the Mother of God is built of stone and has an adjoining bell tower. It is a parish church, divided into summer and winter sections. The building is distinguished by its durability. Inside the church, there are four altars: on the right side in honor of the Assumption of the Mother of God and on the left in honor of Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker. In the warm chapels, there are two more altars: on the right, the Protection of the Mother of God, and on the left, the Prophet Elijah. The church was erected in 1800 with funds from the parishioners.

The church has 36 desyatins and 174 square fathoms of arable land and 2 desyatins and 326 square fathoms of homestead land. A church house is provided for the priest's residence. The church capital amounts to 4966 rubles and 67 kopecks in bonds. The villages are located 2 to 4 versts from the church. The Korojechna River, during floods, complicates access to the church for the residents of the village of Onosova.

The parish has three schools: one zemstvo school and two literacy schools in the village and the village of Shepshe. The village is located on a plain, with houses and the church forming a large area, part of which is occupied by a pond. The Korojechna River flows two versts from the village. According to the statute, the parish should have a priest, a deacon, and a psalmist, with the parish capital amounting to 3350 rubles in securities.

The church was closed in the 1920s and was used for economic needs.
