The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary was built after 1905. Initially, it belonged to the Old Believers who followed the Belokrinitskaya hierarchy. In the 1930s, the church was closed. In the 1990s, it was returned to the Old Believers of the Novozybkov hierarchy, previously known as the beglopopovtsy, as they represented the largest Old Believer community in the city. After that, the church was renovated. It was built with funds from the famous Old Believer merchant Blinov.
