In the Murom district, there were previously churches mentioned by Dobronravov. In 1676, the Church of the Assumption was recorded here. In 1750, thanks to the efforts of the commissioner of the palace chancery Roman Stefanovich Kamensky, a new wooden Church of the Assumption was built. In 1886, the building was clad with planks and plastered inside. From 1870 to 1890, due to the poverty of the parish, the church was annexed to Monakovo.
