Alexandrov is a village located in the Krasnooktyabrsky district. According to the order of the Department of Historical and Cultural Heritage Protection of Nizhny Novgorod and the region dated April 24, 2000, the village's Assumption Church was recognized as an object of historical and cultural heritage. The church has altars: the main one, dedicated to the Assumption of the Mother of God; the right one, to the first martyr Archdeacon Stephen; and the left one, to Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker. The church dates back to 1830. However, order 5-OD, on the basis of which the church received this status, was revoked on October 20, 2014, by order No. 159, as reported by the Department of State Protection of Cultural Heritage Sites of Nizhny Novgorod Region.
