The Church of John the Baptist was built between 1810 and 1819 by landowner Pashkov. He cunningly transferred the icon of the Tikhvin Mother of God from the former Trinity Monastery to the new church. This icon was gifted to the monastery by Ivan the Terrible, and believers attributed miraculous properties to it. The residents of Vetroshkino still cherish the icon with reverence.
