The church is located on the slope of a hill with a height difference of more than 4 meters. It is a unique architectural monument in the baroque style of the early 18th century and pseudo-Russian stylization of the late 19th century. It stands out for its picturesque and monumental forms. This is one of the successful examples of stylization in ancient Russian forms, which harmoniously combine with the original structure of the early 18th century.

The church represents a complex of buildings from different periods with an asymmetric composition. The original volume of the church, which consists of an octagon on a square base under an eight-sided semi-dome and a dome on a blind drum, with a rectangular refectory under a hipped roof, made in the baroque style, was expanded in the late 19th century with a new building. It features a semicircular apse across its entire width and a two-tiered bell tower under a high tent roof with zakomaras topped with a small dome. The complex is surrounded by a gallery on supports with semicircular niches on the western and southern sides. At the same time, a two-story rectangular building with a four-pitched roof was erected in the southwestern part of the complex. The external decoration of the buildings includes pilasters, arcature belts, flat rectangular and semicircular niches, stepped cornices, and a curb.
