The Prechensky Church in the village of Bolshoye Nikolskoye, Ryazhsk, was built by parishioners in 1866 and is dedicated to the Beheading of St. John the Baptist. Initially, it was affiliated with the church in the village of Krivopolyanie. In 1876, the parish included the village of Fedorovka, the hamlets of Podyapolsky and Polyansky, as well as the Golubev estate. The staff included a priest, a deacon, a psalmist, and the church elder, peasant Sviridov. The parish owned 32.5 desyatinas of land. By 1911, a church-parish school was operating at the church, with priest Dmitry Sokolov as the religious instructor. There was also a holy spring in the village, which still functions today.

In 1937, priest Serafim Shubin, who had previously been sentenced to three years in camps in 1931, served in this church until his arrest in 1937. The church building was repurposed as a grain storage facility and closed. The bell tower remained until the 1970s. According to local residents, secret baptism ceremonies for children were conducted in the closed church. Currently, the building of the Prechensky Church is in a dilapidated state.
