Vtorusskoye, a village in the Arzamas district, is known for its architectural and urban planning monument, the Trinity Church, dated 1862 and under state protection (document No. 471). The church has three altars: the main one in honor of the Holy Trinity, a cold altar, and two warm chapels, the right dedicated to the icon of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow," and the left in honor of St. Sergius of Radonezh.

According to the book "Saint Blessed Sergius and Nizhny Novgorod Land," the stone church with a bell tower was built by parishioners in 1863. The main altar was consecrated in the summer part of the church, while the refectory, in the warm part, contains two chapels: on the right, in honor of the icon of the Mother of God "Joy of All Who Sorrow," and on the left, in honor of St. Sergius of Radonezh. In the early 20th century, shortly before the revolution, the last church elder, peasant Ivan Andreevich Zheltov, invested significant personal funds in decorating the church. Thanks to his donations, copper processional banners with enamel, a silver altar cross with gilding, a gilded silver tabernacle, and a new chandelier were acquired. The interior walls and vaults of the church were painted with oil paintings. For his charity, I.A. Zheltov was granted the right to wear a special kaftan and a silver medal on the Stanislav ribbon, awarded by the Holy Synod. In 1938, the church was closed by local authorities. In the 1990s, it was restored, and services resumed.
