The stone church in the village of Zolotoe, Kamyshin district of Saratov province, was built by the efforts of parishioners in 1834. The church had three altars: the main one was dedicated to the Holy Life-Giving Trinity, while the side altars were dedicated to the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos and Saint Nicholas the Wonderworker. The building of the church was designed in the classical style. The clergy consisted of two priests and two psalmists, who were provided with houses. The parish had two zemstvo schools and two church-parish schools. The parish also included the Protection Church of the same village, which was destroyed during the Soviet era.

The church, which was practically unharmed during the period of persecution, was returned to the faithful on September 27, 1989. In 2007, repair and restoration work was carried out: the western and southern parts of the facade were plastered and whitewashed, inscriptions from the Holy Scriptures were restored on the walls on three sides, and two frescoes were painted on the northwest wall.
