The village of Troitskoye, located on Babya Gora, was mentioned in pre-revolutionary lists. It is situated in the territory of the modern Voskresensky District. According to archaeologist Polivanov, who conducted excavations in 1889, there was a Russian settlement from the 15th century here, which protected the crossing over the Vetluga River on the route between Gorodets and Vyatka.

Above the old channel of the Vetluga, which connects with the river through a small channel, there are two wooden churches: a summer church in honor of the Holy Trinity and a winter church in honor of Saints Zosima and Savvatiy. Archival documents indicate that at the end of the 17th and the beginning of the 18th century, there was the Chernoezer Monastery here, founded, according to legend, by monks who fled to the forests after the Solovetsky Uprising of 1668-1678. The monastery is also remembered by numerous ancient icons, which, unfortunately, have not survived. The church housed ancient books, church vestments, and utensils.

The Trinity Church was built in 1713. Its architecture resembles a ship and includes a porch, refectory, and prayer hall with gable roofs, an altar with a five-pitched roof, and a tall bell tower with an open gallery and a tented top. Initially, the bell tower stood separately and had passage gates, which were connected to the refectory by a closed porch in the early 19th century. Above the central part of the church rises an octagon with a dome and a cupola.

In 1870, a wooden church was built in honor of Saints Zosima and Savvatiy, designed in the shape of a cross and topped with a flat tent. At the same time, the Trinity Church was adorned with cornices and window frames, and its larch log structure has been preserved beneath the cladding.

Trinity is the patronal feast of the village. From this day on, services are held in the Trinity Church, and in winter, in the church of Zosima and Savvatiy. During the Soviet era, despite attempts to close the churches, services were only suspended from 1941 to 1947.

The churches of the village of Troitskoye are in good condition, unlike most wooden churches of Povetluzhye, many of which have been destroyed. This reflects the importance of the local community's care for its heritage. The interior decoration of the churches has been preserved in a rare condition for their age, and in the Trinity Church, one can see a carved maple iconostasis.

In the 20th century, repair work was carried out. In the summer of 1988, enthusiasts removed a layer of paper and wallpaper from the walls and ceiling of the Trinity Church, discovering the hewn walls beneath, which were cleaned and polished. The interior of the church gained freshness and warmth. In 1989, the interior of the church of Zosima and Savvatiy was restored. The work was funded by the church community and was unofficially supported by the village administration and the collective farm management during the Soviet era.
