The Trinity Church in the village of Troitskoye on Soti was built of stone, with the same fence and bell tower. It was erected in 1801 through the efforts of the parishioners. The church has three altars: the main one in the name of the Life-Giving Trinity, and two in the warm chapels, in the name of the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Holy Prophet Elijah. The village also has three wooden chapels: the Trinity Chapel in the village itself, the Tolga Chapel in the village of Levinskoye, and the chapel in the name of the Martyrs Frol and Lavr in the village of Berniki. The distance to Yaroslavl is 83 versts, to Lyubim, 27 versts. The nearest churches are located half a verst in Khristorozhdestvenskoye on Ildom, 4.5 versts in Nikolskoye in Korchkodom, 7 versts in Spasskoye in Mechekhodovo, and 9 versts in All Saints in the village of Pozdeyevo.

In the 17th century, the village was part of the Galich district according to administrative-territorial division, and according to ecclesiastical-administrative division, the parish belonged to the Kostroma tithe. Documents from 1628 mention the church "of the Life-Giving Trinity in the Black Station on the Soti River."

In August 1736, a decree was issued for the construction of a church for the nobleman Prince Peter Matveyev Vadobolsky at the request of his servant Nikita Leontyev. The decree ordered the dismantling of the dilapidated church in the name of the Life-Giving Trinity on the Soti River and the erection of a new wooden church with the same name at the same location.

In February 1738, servant Nikita Leontyev submitted a petition to the synodal treasury, stating that in August 1736, by decree from the synodal treasury, he was instructed to dismantle the old wooden church and build a new one in the name of the Life-Giving Trinity. He reported that the construction was completed and the church was ready for consecration, and requested to issue a decree for its consecration, directing it to priest Dmitry Yakovlev from the Church of the Nativity of Christ in the village of Rozhdestvenskoye in the Galich district, as well as to issue a consecrated antimins from the synodal house.
