The church, built in 1826, was a typical square structure topped with a rotunda. Six tall semicircular windows gave the rotunda lightness and elegance. Porticos adorned the southern and northern facades, framed by pairs of pilasters at the edges and semi-columns with abacuses in the center. The altar had a rectangular shape with a protruding apse. Renovations began in the late 19th century when two large chapels partially closed the porticos with their apses, necessitating the closure of the doors. The chapels were designed in the Neo-Russian style: the windows were decorated with pointed arches, and the walls were divided by wide pilasters with large niches. The large chapels formed a spacious four-pillar winter church, from which a now-lost bell tower once rose.
