Church of the Holy Trinity in Stary Nekozy

Фото 1
Not far from the city, in the village of Stary Nekozy, on the plains of the Nekouz moraine plateau, stands the Holy Trinity Church, built in 1790. This impressive church has much in common with the church in the village of Pokrovskoye on the Siti River. The church is built on a basement, which disappeared from Russian church architecture as early as the beginning of the 18th century. The large two-light church of the early classical era, with archaic elements, and the elongated refectory were constructed in the late 18th century. The tall four-tiered bell tower above the porch, with an order on each floor, was likely built in the first quarter of the 19th century.
