Selitba is a village located in the Sosnovsky district. Previously, it was part of the Gorbatovsky district, Khvoshchyovskaya volost, and later belonged to the Pavlovsky and Sosnovsky districts. According to the 'State Lists of Historical and Cultural Monuments of the Nizhny Novgorod Region', the village has a monument of urban planning and architecture, the Trinity Church, dated 1848, and protected by the state (document No. 286). According to Vladimir Muromtsev, there were two churches in Selitba: the Pokrovskaya Old Believer Church, which has not survived, and the church in honor of the Holy Trinity, which was built from 1884 to 1905, although there is information that it was constructed in 1848. In the 1990s, local residents began the restoration of the church, financing the work themselves. They covered the roof with metal, installed two stoves, and restored the iconostasis, which is 12 meters high and decorated with 54 icons.
