Church of the Holy Trinity in Popovka (Lost)

Фото 1
In Popovka, there were three churches located next to each other. Two of them were wooden, built in 1772 and 1858, while the third, made of stone, was erected in 1899. The last two churches had three altars: of the Holy Trinity, the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God, and Archangel Michael. In 1844, the parishioners also built a wooden chapel. The stone church was distinguished by its beauty and a tall bell tower, unmatched in the Sengileevsky district, but it was destroyed in 1939.
