The church in the village is wooden and cold, built in 1870 with funds from the parishioners. It has two altars: the main one, of the Holy Trinity, and the side altar, of Archangel Michael.

The village has 512 households, with 1897 men and 2121 women, all Great Russians engaged in agriculture. In addition, they process sheepskins and cultivate nurseries of fruit and non-fruit trees, which makes Yaltunovo known far beyond the province. There are sectarians in the village, Molokans-Ukleinets, and in 1910 a Jewish community was established according to the law of October 17, 1906.

The parish is divided by the Tsna River into two parts: Lesnoe Yaltunovo on the right bank and Polnoe Yaltunovo on the left. Nearby is an ancient pine forest.

The village has a church parish school and two zemstvo schools. The religious teacher in the zemstvo schools receives 65 rubles a year, with a deduction of 50 kopecks for each missed lesson. There is also church parish guardianship and a sobriety society. Records of church property and metric books have been kept since 1817, and the church library contains 70 volumes.

The church staff includes a priest, a deacon, and a psalmist. The clergy have 7 desyatinas of homestead land in one place and arable land in two plots: 33 desyatinas 2140 square fathoms and 20 desyatinas 112 square fathoms, located 1 verst from the church. The land brings an annual income of 300 rubles. The houses of the clergy are owned by them.
