The village of Podolec is located 85 versts from Vladimir and 20 versts from the district town of Yuriev. In the past, it belonged to the princes Miloslavsky. The church in the village existed as early as the 16th century, but no historical data about it has survived. The current church is made of stone, two stories high, with a stone bell tower, but the time of its construction is unknown. The church has four altars: on the upper floor, the main altar in honor of the Holy Life-Giving Trinity and in the name of the holy apostle Andrew the First-Called, and on the lower floor, in the name of the holy parents Joachim and Anna and Saint Mary of Egypt.

A small icon of Saints Joachim and Anna of ancient writing is kept in the church with the inscription: "Mikhail Vasilyevich Miloslavsky prays to this image." Among the liturgical books, there is an ancient Gospel from 1654. In the chapel of Saint Mary of Egypt, Prince S.M. Miloslavsky and two wives of Prince M.V. Miloslavsky: Anastasia Vasilyevna and Tatyana Andreevna are buried.

The church documents are in order: copies of the metric books since 1828, confession lists since 1829; an inventory of church property is available and kept in the church. The land belonging to the church includes 1 deciatina of homestead, 912 square fathoms of haymaking, and 32 deciatinas of arable land; a plan for the land is also kept in the church.

According to the staff, the clergy consists of a priest and a psalmist. Their maintenance amounts to: 5 rubles in interest from church capital, 40 rubles from the bread collection, 120 rubles from the land, and 200 rubles for sacramental services, totaling about 365 rubles per year. The clergy's houses are located on church land and belong to them. The parish includes only the village of Podolec, which has 70 households, 279 men, and 359 women. Since 1885, a literacy school has been operating in the village, located in the house of the psalmist.
