Church of the Holy Trinity in Pavlovsk

Фото 1
The local church with a five-domed stone building and bell tower, dedicated to Saint Dimitri of Thessaloniki and the Holy Life-Giving Trinity, was built by parishioners in 1819. Before that, in 1807, there was a wooden church on its site, which burned down along with most of the village. As a result of the fire, all documents and ancient items were lost, except for a silver diskos, vessel, and plate from 1791. The church has neither miraculous nor particularly revered icons. The church land covers 36 desyatins, and the parish includes 8 settlements. In 1880, a rural school was opened in Pavlovsk.
