In the village of Novo Ivan'tsevo, located in the Shatkovsky district, there is a church that was recognized as a historical and cultural heritage site according to the order of the Department for the Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage of Nizhny Novgorod and the region dated April 24, 2000, No. 5-OD. This status was granted because the church dates back to the 19th century. However, order No. 5-OD was revoked on October 20, 2014, by order No. 159. According to the "Address Calendar of the Nizhny Novgorod Diocese" for 1904, the wooden church in this village was built in 1838. The church has altars: the main one in honor of the Holy Trinity and a chapel of Archangel Michael.
