The wooden church is located in the center of the village, at the edge of a ravine. It was built in 1847 on the site of an older church known since 1770.

In the early 20th century, the church was rebuilt. In 1937, it was closed for worship, the top and upper tiers of the bell tower were dismantled, and the layout was changed. Initially, the building housed a club, then a grain storage facility.

By the late 1980s, the heavily dilapidated church was returned to the Russian Orthodox Church. Restoration work was carried out, a dome was constructed, and a bell tower was built. In 1989, worship services resumed.

A Sunday school operates at the church, and catechetical courses for adults are held.
